What I Drank Last Night — SLV In Its Prime

What I Drank Last Night – my favorite of Warren Winiarski’s three prestige cabs, the “fire” vineyard, Stag’s Leap SLV 2001.

What a delight, a great CA cab at full maturity. It was intensely concentrated yet showed no sharp elbows, the hints of spice gently layered on a foundation of rich fecundity. A beautifully balanced, harmonious wine with all the complex elements hitting the right notes.
