What I Drank Last Night – a scheduled dinner turned out to be a bust so I adjourned to my new favorite boîte, The Tangled Vine, and reveled in the best crab cakes I have every eaten– sorry Maine, sorry Maryland but they are that good. I washed down these tiny crisp balls of delectable crabbiness with the Les Vielles Vignes Sylvaner Domaine Ostertag 2009, a rich, dry, slatey wine perfect with the crab croquettes.

    Sounds nummy especially to someone like me who much prefers crab to lobster. I will have to remember the dry Alsatian choice when next I have crab!
