What I Drank Last Night – It’s January and that means the Union des Grands Cru are in town offering a chance to explore the difficult 2008 vintage at my favorite, though that term is relative, walk-around tasting of the year.
2008, while better than 2007, was still problematic. No great wines, many unripe ones but a decent number of plump, fruit-filled pleasures for early drinking. Check out two Nick’s WineCast and Nick’s Wine of the Week columns on a couple of my favorites coming shortly.
