Mike Grgich is famous for making white wine so it’s easy to overlook his superb reds until, that is, one runs into this gem. It just explodes with red summer fruit flavors like strawberries and white cherries, and can be enjoyed with real pleasure now. But it’s just an adolescent, and all the elements are in place for a profound and truly great wine given sufficient time.
