  Am not sure if you&#039;ve sampled/reviewed the Four Sisters Merlot from your neck of the woods--- TRUE Merlot at affordable price. Willowy, sensuous aromas of black cherry, figs---rich, dry, concentrated satisfying flavors of ripe plum, crushed black cherries with touch of ground cinnamon stick.  Lush. 
 Also Alberti 154 Merlot-- from Argentina.  The 04 is smoky, plum, dried black cherry, sexy chewy tannins that offer up more fruit flavor than astringency.
